A customer has requested we make 4 racks capable of holding 15 menus each. The menu racks will be used at restaurants in a local casino. The racks measure 24” long x 8” wide x 4 ¼” tall and will be made from Spanish Cedar.
We started with a rectangle shape in our Cad program. Next we made a series of notches a ½” wide with a slight 5 degree bevel…this allows the menu boards to tilt back slightly.
We used a ¼” radius on all corners to eliminate any sharp edges that would potentially scratch the menu boards.
We faced out the menu racks with a board 8” wide x 5 ¼” tall…we added a 1” arc for appearance and additional room for the casino’s logo.
The racks will be finished with multiple coats of polyurethane.
