The trophy measures 17 ¼” in height x 14” in width. The base is layered black walnut 5” in height. The Louisiana outline is cast acrylic 12” x 12” x 1 ½” thick.
The layout for the piece was done in our EnRoute software program. The file was sent to our MultiCam 5000 for machining. We used red & gold foils for the text and emblems located on the acrylic outline. The acrylic was placed in our laser…the foils were cut and “seated” in place. The name plates were etched with our laser on anodized black aluminum with a gold substrate.
We used 15 coats of MinWax Helmsman on the walnut base…Pretty neat!!!
